The project is a shelter in the place "Three Wells" in Vitosha Nature Park, the aim is to create a sustainable building, providing shelter in critical climatic conditions. The effort to use durable, recyclable materials is critical to the choice of a used marine container that is easy to transport, mount, dismantle, move, and expand on a modular principle.
The container is raised from the ground, its orientation is in line with the slope, the prevailing northwest winds and the favourable sights. Its transportation will be done by helicopter from Aleko hut, with minimal finishing works being provided on site. The capacity is six bedrooms and ten standing. In the interior, maximum space optimization has been sought through folding furniture. The lining is made of solid wood - larch, and the glazing is sized for minimal heat loss, as well as wind turbine. Internet access, a weather station, first-aid care, first-aid information are provided. The use of a used marine container reduces carbon dioxide emissions to a minimum. Thermal insulation of sprayed polyurethane and renewable energy sources - wind turbine and photovoltaic panels, ensures high energy efficiency.
